Risk Management

Health and Safety

At Erskine Murray we understand that good safety management is about much more than basic compliance and having relevant documentation.

Our approach is to put together measures and program that will work with your business culture to produce good results in accident reduction and improvements in safety culture.

By understanding the business, the culture and risk appetite in place we can assist in many ways but always based around what will be effective in accident and claim reduction.

We also understand that safety must be aimed at the user so ensure that the measures we put in place genuinely work and are presented in a manner suitable to the nature of the workforce.

There are a range of ways in which we may assist; not limited to but including:

  • Bespoke audits based on your own internal policies and procedures to judge the level of compliance and embedding of safety controls.
  • Assistance with specific risk areas such as machinery guarding surveys, maintenance risk assessments, slips/trips and falls.
  • Work on specific risk reduction projects and project management such as workplace transport, manual handling etc.
  • Training and support in relation to risk assessment
  • Claims Defensibility Audits and Accident Management Procedures

There are some areas where we do not provide assistance where more specialist advice or resource is required such as:

  • Competent Person (although we will assist your internal persons whilst undertaking accredited training)
  • Noise Assessments
  • Environment (dusts, vapours, explosion etc)
  • Occupational Health
  • Manual Handling Training

We are happy to review any current support you have in these areas and can put you in touch with appropriate providers through our trusted partners.
